Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your NomadCrew account and the personal data tied to it, what we remove, what we keep, and how long it takes. You can start the request from inside the app or by email. You do not need the app installed to make the request.

How to request deletion

  • In the app: open NomadCrew, go to Profile, tap Delete Account, and follow the prompt.
  • By email (no app needed): email [email protected] from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject line "Delete my account."

So we only delete accounts at their owner's request, we confirm the request comes from you (we may ask you to reply from the email address on the account) before we remove anything.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

  • Your profile: email address, display name, profile photo, travel archetype, and saved preferences.
  • Your content: trips and trip details you created, plus your chat messages, todo items, polls, and expense entries.
  • Your Wallet: travel documents you uploaded to your personal wallet.
  • Your sign-in identity: your email/password, Apple, or Google sign-in link.
  • Device and location data: your push-notification tokens and any location data associated with your account.

Trips you share with other people

Some content lives in trips you share with others, such as a message in a group chat or an expense that other members still owe or are owed. To keep the other members' records intact, that shared content may stay in those trips after your account is gone. If you want it removed as well, say so in your request and we will remove it wherever doing so does not break another member's records.

What we keep, and why

  • Anonymized crash and error logs that contain no personal content. We keep these to keep the app stable.
  • Records we are legally required to keep for tax, security, or fraud-prevention reasons, kept only for as long as the law requires.
  • Backups: deleted data is removed from our active systems immediately and purged from backups within 30 days.

How long it takes

We action deletion requests within 30 days of confirming them, and usually much sooner. We will email you to confirm once your account has been deleted.

Prefer to delete just some data?

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove individual items. In the app you can delete individual trips, documents, messages, todos, polls, and expenses at any time, and they are purged from our servers within 30 days.
