Connect your AI to NomadCrew
Work through the trip with your assistant. Review its draft in NomadCrew, then put the agreed plans where the whole group can find them.
AI itinerary import is available on iPhone from version 0.2.1 and in Android early access. Update the app before starting.
Your connector URL
Add this address as a custom remote connector in your assistant. Choose OAuth if asked. You do not need a NomadCrew API key.
https://api.nomadcrew.uk/mcpThis is a public setup address. Sharing it does not give anyone access to your trips. You approve account access in NomadCrew.
Connect once
- Check your assistant’s connector settings. Your account must allow custom remote MCP connectors. See the current instructions for ChatGPT custom apps, Claude custom connectors, or Perplexity remote connectors. Workspace owners may need to enable access.
- Add the connector URL. Use
https://api.nomadcrew.uk/mcp. The assistant should discover the sign-in details automatically. If it requires a client ID or secret that you do not have, check its instructions or use the structured import below; do not paste your app password or access token. - Review account access on your phone. On the NomadCrew page in your browser, choose Review connection in NomadCrew. Check the assistant name, callback host and requested permissions, then choose Connect assistant.
- Return to the original browser tab. Choose Continue to your AI to finish. Approval in the app is one step; the browser completes the connection. Keep that tab open throughout.
Starting on a computer? Open Profile → Connect your AI → Connecting from a computer? on your phone. Paste the connection code or app link from the browser, review it, then return to that browser tab. Connection requests expire after ten minutes.
Open AI connections in NomadCrew on the phone where the app is installed.
Try two plans first
Create a trip with its destination, dates and timezone. Ask your connected assistant to read the existing itinerary before preparing a draft, so it can avoid duplicate plans.
Find my NomadCrew trip “Lisbon Weekend”. If more than one matches, ask me which one. Read its dates, timezone and existing itinerary. Use the schedule we agreed in this conversation to prepare two activities. Leave uncertain times or venues out. Return the review link; I will approve the draft in NomadCrew.
This is a sample prompt; replace the trip name with yours. Open the returned review link, sign in to the account that prepared the draft, and check the dates, local times, places and warnings. Choose Add N plans to trip only when the draft is right; N is the number of proposed plans. The full batch is added together. If it needs changes, ask for a revised draft first. Existing plans remain.
For proposed trip creation, edits or removals, review every change before approving it. If your installed app cannot open that review, update it before continuing. A suggestion is a plan, not a confirmed reservation.
If setup stops
- No custom-connector option
- Check your assistant’s account and workspace settings. A paid subscription alone does not guarantee access. Use structured import if custom connections are unavailable.
- The connection expired or the browser was closed
- Start a new connection from your assistant. Use the new code or link and keep its browser tab open until you finish.
- The app says approved, but the assistant is waiting
- Return to the browser where you started and choose Continue to your AI.
- The review link does not open
- Update NomadCrew, open the complete link on your phone, and sign in to the account that prepared the draft. Ask the assistant for a fresh link if the draft has expired.
- The assistant cannot use a new capability
- Reconnect and review the requested permissions. Older connections do not gain new permissions automatically. Refresh the assistant’s available tools after reconnecting.
- Something still looks wrong
- Contact Naqeeb with the assistant name, app version and the step that failed. Leave out passwords, tokens, private documents and connection or review links.
Import without a connector
Open your trip’s Itinerary → Import plans → Show JSON example. Ask your assistant to format the agreed plan using that example. Paste the JSON, select Review plans, and check the draft before adding it. The import field accepts structured JSON, rather than a conversation or PDF.

Access and approval
Which assistants can connect?
Use an assistant account that supports custom remote MCP connectors with OAuth and automatic client registration. Access depends on your assistant, plan and workspace settings. NomadCrew is a custom connector, so search results or a subscription alone do not connect your account.
Does the connector work on iPhone?
AI itinerary import is available in NomadCrew for iPhone from version 0.2.1, released on 26 September 2026. Android access is through closed testing. Update your app and check for Profile → Connect your AI and Itinerary → Import plans.
What can my assistant access?
After you approve the connection, the assistant can read your trip names, dates, destinations and itinerary, and prepare proposed plans. Additional permissions let it propose new trips and itinerary edits or removals. The connector does not expose trip chat, expenses, live member locations or private wallet documents. Review the permissions shown in the app before connecting.
Can my assistant change a trip without asking?
No. Proposed trips and itinerary changes need a separate review and approval in NomadCrew. Opening a review link does not apply the change. Your trip permissions still apply, and a changed or expired preview must be reviewed again.
Does it make or verify bookings?
No. An assistant can prepare transport or accommodation entries from confirmation details you supply, but these remain plans in the shared itinerary. NomadCrew does not book, cancel or verify reservations. Keep booking references, barcodes, passenger details and payment information out of shared plans.
How do I disconnect?
Open Profile → Connect your AI and choose Disconnect beside the assistant. This ends its access to your account. Plans already added to your trips remain.
